The president in his speech recognizes the potential of Africa and Africans. He insists that we all have to come together and develop ourselves and our nations. As he says, it starts with us!

We need to have the right attitude to development. He says the reason why a lot of people relocate out of Africa is because of “the failure of where you are to provide opportunities “. We need to create those opportunities and it starts with the right behavior toward human capital development.

Let’s end the dependence mindset, and start to think of new ways, ideas and innovation that would shift the course of our lives and our history. We need to have the right attitude to learn. Let’s start with the zeal to be competitive and then use any available technical know-how to harness our opportunities. We can do this. It all starts with behavior.
